Roy Rose, President, Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick Engineering
Fixing the Sinkhole in Sterling Heights

Roy Rose is the President and CEO of the AEW Engineering.  His firm is currently engineering and supervising the repairs to the 15 Mile Road Sinkhole in Sterling Heights.

 

He received an Associate degree in Science from St. Clair County Community College, and his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.  He also has Professional Engineer, Expert Witness, and Principal Engineering classifications.

Roy was recently appointed by the Board of Trustees of Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) and to a three-year term as a Trustee of the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Corporation Board of Trustees.  He also serves as a Macomb County representative on the Board of Directors of the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan (RTA), and serves on the RTA Planning and Service Coordination Committee, RTA Funding Allocation Committee, RTA Executive and Policy Committee, Baker College System chair of their Clinton Township/Port Huron Board of Regents, Macomb Community College Civil Tech Advisory Committee, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Ambassador Club, is President of Leadership Macomb and Utica Community Schools Foundation for Educational Excellence, and as Vice Chair of Businesses for Better Transportation.  

 

He received the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber’s Lil Adams “Citizen of the Year” award in 2013, and was inducted into the “Macomb Hall of Fame” in 2015. He received a Special Tribute from the Michigan House and Gov. Snyder congratulating him for being awarded the “Franklin D. Meyers 2016 Outstanding Civil Engineer of the Year Award” by the Michigan Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
